Norfolk Scent Dogs
Terms, Conditons and Disclaimer
Liability
● No responsibility will be taken by the landowners or Norfolk Scent Dogs
for damage or injury sustained to property, individuals or animals whilst at
a venue hired by Norfolk Scent Dogs to which you are attending.
● Parking must be in the advised parking area. All vehicles are left entirely
at their owners risk and the landowners or Norfolk Scent Dogs accept no
responsibility for any loss or damage incurred, accident or otherwise,
whilst they are at any venue hired by Norfolk Scent Dogs to which you are
attending.
● Dogs not attending the class are kept in the owners vehicle at their own
risk, every precaution must be made to ensure the dogs left are safe and
when temperatures rise dogs will not be allowed to be left in vehicles
unless a suitable cooling system is in place.
● We recommend that all dog(s) attending Norfolk Scent Dogs training are
fully up-to-date with their inoculations. We recommend that your dog(s) are immunised and
wormed. Please do not bring your dog(s) when they are
ill. Please do not bring your dog(s) if they are coughing. If kennel cough is
diagnosed there must be a two week gap between when your dog STOPS
coughing to attending classes again.
 Bitches in season are not to attend any class or workshop run or hosted by Norfolk Scent
Dogs.
 Any dog attending a workshop or trial should have a non damaging indication. 1-2-1
lessons should be booked to work on this initially.
● If any dog(s) that you are responsible for are not insured for 3rd party
liability, please be aware that you will be personally liable for any
accidents or injuries that the dog may cause.
● Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere when taking part in training
organised by Norfolk Scent Dogs.
● The behaviour, safety and welfare of all dogs is entirely the
owner’s/handler’s responsibility.
● A first aid kit will be available at all times.
● All accidents must be reported and written in the accident book.
Payments
● All payments must be made at time of booking, if you are unable to attend
and this can’t be filled by Norfolk Scent Dogs you will not be issued a
refund. You may, with permission sell a trial space. Weekly Scentwork classes may be rescheduled depending on
availability. Payments should be made by bank transfer. Bank details are
provided on booking.
● If the handler arrives late, the class cannot be extended.
● If Norfolk Scent Dogs needs to cancel a booking you have made, 24 hours
notice will be given wherever possible. If payment has been taken a full
refund will be issued.
1-2-1, Workshop and Trial Payments
● Full payment must be made at time of booking to secure your place.
● I cannot guarantee to hold your place if you do not pay at time of booking.
● No refunds will be given for the deposit if your place is cancelled unless
the place is filled by Norfolk Scent Dogs, this will incur a 20% admin fee.
● Please be aware that if I need to cancel a course, class or workshop, for
any reason, if a mutually acceptable alternative date cannot be found then
a refund will be given.
● Norfolk Scent Dogs takes no liability for missed contracts or
accommodation fees in the event of postponement or cancellation
Entering/Leaving
● When entering/leaving a class or event please respect our neighbours.
● Please ensure you only arrive 5 minutes before your lesson is due to start
to allow change over time.
● Once your lesson has finished please ensure that you return to your
vehicle rather than exercising your dog to allow the next class to arrive.
● Please don’t allow your dogs to pull to other dogs unless both par􀆟es are
in agreement.
● Dogs must be kept on leads at all 􀆟mes unless instructed by the trainer.
Code of Ethics
● Choke chains, prong collars, electronic devices and retractable leads are
not allowed.
● Harsh handling of dogs, either verbal or physical is not allowed.
Maintenance and the dreaded Poo!
● The handler must bring their own poo bags and remove ALL dogs waste.
ALL dog waste must be taken home with you.
● We do not take any responsibility for any dog escaping.
Humans! – Children & Adults
● The owner of Norfolk Scent Dogs must be made aware if any children are
to attend, children must be supervised at all times and MUST NOT play
on any equipment.
● Norfolk Scent Dogs does not accept any responsibility for any injury to
humans or animals caused by using equipment.
● A first aid kit is available at all times.
Data/Privacy Policy
● We only retain your contact details in the event of having to contact you
regarding your classes. The information is not used for any other purpose
or shared to any other parties.
● You can request for your data to be erased. This would need to be put in
writing to Jo Tippett email norfolkscentdogs@gmail.com
Updates
● We may need to update these terms and conditions from time to time. By
booking onto a class or workshop, you agree to abide by the terms and
conditions.
It is your responsibility to read our terms and conditions prior to every
booking.
By paying for your class, course, 1-2-1 or workshop you are agreeing to
these terms and conditions.
